John D. Lane is one of Himalayas Golf’s Founder Partners, leading Business Development, M&A, and Strategic Advisory, and driving the Company’s growth strategy, market positioning, and long-term value creation. With over five decades of executive leadership, he is a trusted advisor to founders, boards, and executive teams, guiding high-impact decisions across global markets. His strategic counsel supports expansion, partnerships, and capital markets initiatives that strengthen enterprise resilience and competitive advantage.

John founded Lane Capital Markets, LLC in 2001, a boutique investment banking firm that has supported more than 55 IPO and secondary offerings, in addition to hundreds of underwritings, recapitalizations, and strategic transactions since the early 1990s. His career includes senior leadership roles at prominent New York-based firms, extensive board-level advisory work, and sustained engagement with institutional stakeholders, regulators, and public-sector entities.

John has also held influential leadership positions within SIFMA and FINRA, contributing to policy development and industry best practices, and has been quoted in leading financial publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, and Barron’s.

John brings a global perspective shaped by extensive international engagement, including a leadership mission to China where he spoke to a forum of 650 participants and served on a panel addressing diligence and transparency. At Himalayas Golf, he works closely with executive leadership and external partners—including developers, municipalities, and strategic investors—to refine the company’s narrative, strengthen its commercial positioning, and align operations with the expectations of key stakeholders across golf, leisure, hospitality, and real estate development.
