Royal Johannesburg Golf Club

With construction taking only 2 months and overseen by the maintenance team at Royal Johannesburg to reduce the budget – the club was able to complete a significant practice facility upgrade. This ambitious project introduces a new large single-tier tee area, an expanded practice green, and, notably, the first Dave Pelz wedge target greens in Africa. These target greens are strategically positioned at 25-meter intervals, ranging from 50m to 125m, designed to provide golfers with precise distance control training.

This development focuses on purposeful practice to improve golfers' short game. The project also prioritized safety by reconfiguring the tee area to mitigate the risk of stray balls on adjacent holes.

"This was possibly one of the most exciting/challenging/fun projects I have ever worked on, and with your team it was an absolute walk in the park. Their dedicated support, leadership, assistance and trust has helped tremendously in completing this project. Need to add that we were R140k under budget, which has allowed us to commence with the enlargement of the practice greens. As a golfer I think this concept on the range is at another level, it is something I always lacked in practicing. I support this 100% and look forward to working with you again soon."
